these are supposed to be portraits of myself yet i dont really think they look like me. i do see strong resemblance, but i think in this case its important to be precise. wasnt paying much attention to the proportions... because i was in a rush. always the preferred excuse. painting myself at the start felt rather odd, but im actually starting to enjoy the process now. i've got a few more, havent photographed them though. will post them later. i really need to paint over the background of the first one, it just looks blahh to me. most likely bcause i spent 99% of the time focusing on only the visage. always the case, im just completely obsessed with faces.

worked on a some watercolor drawings for uni, have been telling teachers that i wanted to explore new mediums other than oil paint...but we all know i'm just lazy. Its mainly because it just takes more time and energy to oil paint. i missed oil painting though, it somehow feels more satisfying for me to see a perfectly finished product of oil painting (which never really happens cause i've never spent more than 3 days on my previous oil works anyway.. and that includes brainstorming on what to paint). Whatever, i seriously need to spend less time hibernating/staring at the wall and much more time on being artistically productive.

however my preference towards oil painting is subjective, watercolor is a great medium as well. You can take them anywhere all you need is water and a good paper. Here are some of my watercolor works, haven't gotten the chance to take pics of the whole finished drawings, i'll probably add them later.

btw does anyone know how to make the images clickable into a larger size? cus i have no idea

haven't been producing decent new artworks. i find artschool to be fun yet uninspiring. not trying to sound like a punk but education system & its bullshit conventions has never been my thing. ever. they constrain creativity, well in my case anyway. i tend to produce better works when i dont consider them as 'homework'.

first post!

My initial intention of making this was to create some form of documentation of my art. Producing art without having anyone seeing them make it seem rather futile..haha

In no ways whatsoever this going to turn into an online diary though..i've always considered myself as an abnormally private person. I might as well post up some of the music happenings i've been to since i've been to plenty..or whatever i dunno

highly doubt im going to update this on frequent basis, considering how lazy i am. we'll see
